Surveys: FastBridge SAEBRS
FastBridge Social, Academic and Emotional Behavior Screener – Grades 2-8
To help identify students who may be at risk for unhealthy social or emotional behaviors as well as those with strong competencies in this area, CVSD uses a FastBridge Social, Academic and Emotional Behavior Risk Screener (SAEBRS). The SAEBRS survey is given three times a year: in October, January, and May. The survey is completely online and takes 30 minutes or less for students to complete. The information from the survey is reviewed by the student’s classroom teacher, the school counselor and the principal. They look for patterns that can help meet each child’s needs in school.
This survey has three parts:
1. Social Behavior:
This part has six questions. It asks about how well students understand social rules and how they get along with others. For example, questions include how well they get along with their classmates and whether they can control their impulses.
2. Academic Behavior:
This part also has six questions. It asks about the skills students need for school. For
example, questions include whether they finish their work in class, how hard it is for them to work alone, and whether they are organized.
3. Emotional Behavior:
This part has seven questions. It asks about how students handle their feelings and challenges. For example, questions include how they deal with setbacks, what worries them about school, and if they have a positive attitude towards school and their classmates.
