Making Schools Safer... one safe school entryway at a time!
Delivering on CVSD’s promise to prioritize safety and security for Central Valley students, staff and families is a top priority for both the district and community.
CVSD is accelerating the projects planned as part of the capital projects levy supported by voters on February 13, 2024 with direct impact to safety at our schools. By starting the projects sooner, not only does the Central Valley community benefit from projects earlier than planned, but the district will likely save money by avoiding potential increases in construction costs.
CVSD is moving forward on five of the ten school safety entrances this spring and summer with the remainder completed the following year—five years ahead of schedule. This summer will complete new vestibules for Broadway, Liberty Lake and Progress Elementary Schools; Summit School and Greenacres Middle School in addition to a new roof. Adding safety vestibules provides an additional layer of security, ensuring a more controlled and secure process for admitting guests into schools.
We look forward to sharing progress with you on these vestibules, roofing projects and more. The district is thankful for the Central Valley community in placing their trust in CVSD and will continue to deliver on its promises stated to our community during the levy.
Thank you Central Valley Community! Delivering on our promises... your Capital Levy dollars at work!
